Computer Graphics I
(Introduction to the Computer, Photoshop, Illustrator and QuarkXPress) First quarter is spent in PhotoShop, next quarter in Illustrator, second half of the class focuses on QuarkXPress. One project in each software program plus a final project that includes all three software packages.
Computer Graphics II
(Adobe Illustrator + Adobe Photoshop) In depth study of these two extraordinary pieces of software.
6 projects, 3 per software package.
Web Design
A graphic design class using Adobe GoLive, HTML coding, Adobe PhotoShop and Imageready. Student will use techniques taught in class to design and implement a fast, easy to navigate web, well designed web site.
Digital Photography
Digital photography uses various input devices including the scanner, the digital camera, analog camera, prepared images from commercial CDs, the internet and the computer to produce fine art. Students will complete four projects, a research paper and a final portfolio of 12 digital images.

A fine art course covering in detail: film processing, black and white darkroom, 35mm camera and a variety of approaches to creating photographs.
Graphic Design and TypographyThe fine art of typography how to set type on a computer. Some of the areas covered are: type management on the computer, typesetting using QuarkXPress, kerning, leading, point size, font families, principals of type design and making your type look professional.
